Each morning, the first light over Cannon Mountain paints the landscape outside our windows in soft pink and gold, slowly revealing the ridgelines and open fields that surround the inn. As the day begins, couples often step out onto our front porch, mugs of hot coffee or cocoa in hand, and settle into the rocking chairs to soak in the stillness. From this vantage point, the mountains feel close enough to touch, and it’s an easy place to dream up the perfect day together.
Many guests use this quiet moment to map out their adventures — deciding whether they’ll glide along our groomed cross-country ski trails, saddle up for a horseback ride, or venture into nearby Franconia Notch to chase views, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks. Others simply choose to stroll along our property’s trails, letting the fresh mountain air and expansive views set the tone for an unhurried, romantic day in the White Mountains.
