SPRING, SUMMER, & FALL

As the spring temperatures melt the winter snows, a marvelous transformation takes place at the Inn. Clay tennis courts and a large swimming pool emerge, while cross-country ski equipment gives way to horses & saddles. Mountain bike trails replace snow-packed ski trails, and our friendly ski instructor dons his equestrian hat as a skilled wrangler. Lovely gardens come alive with a color array and just behind the Inn the mighty Ham Branch River flows freely.

Summer brings peaceful afternoons relaxing on the wide veranda, or days spent enjoying all of the outdoor activities the White Mountains have to offer. May and June are fabulous months for hiking. Franconia Notch has a great bicycle path where you can leisurely explore the many scenic sites. The Inn is located near area attractions such as The Flume, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Lost River... there is no end to the many choices.

As September ushers in cooler temperatures, the entire vast landscape comes alive with magnificent hues of red, gold, yellow and orange. The famed autumn foliage, peaking about mid-October, is a feast to the eyes.

HIKING

New Hampshire’s White Mountains offer some of the best hiking you can find, and plenty of options for all experience levels. From short strolls through the woods, to day-long treks, beautiful views are waiting on each trail.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Hop on a bike from the White Mountain Bike Shop and take off on over 100 miles of incredible mountain biking trails! The trails vary in difficulty, so there is something fun for every rider. Weave through trees and rocks in the woods, or cruise along the road with a beautiful view of the Kinsman Mountains.

The "Bike Barn" is located directly next to the inn. The shop's owner, Big Ring Bob is an incredibly accomplished bike rider and mechanic. He is an expert at bike tune-ups, repairs, and would love to show you the best trails in the area!

Road, mountain, and fat tire bikes are available for sale or rental. Check out their website for more information.
