As the spring temperatures melt the winter snows, a marvelous transformation takes place at The Inn. Clay tennis courts and a large swimming pool emerge while cross-country ski equipment gives way to horses, saddles and stirrups. Bridle trails replace snow-packed ski trails, and our friendly ski instructor dons his equestrian hat as a skilled wrangler. Lovely gardens team with brilliant new life and just behind the Inn the mighty Ham Branch River comes to life with verve and vigor.

Summer brings peaceful afternoons reading and relaxing on the wide veranda, or days spent enjoying all of the outdoor activities the White Mountains have to offer. May and June are fabulous months for hiking, with comfortable temperatures for conquering exhilarating trails or wandering through wooded paths while lovely Lady Slippers and wood sorrels play at your feet. If biking is your pleasure, Franconia Notch has a great bicycle path where you can leisurely discover many scenic sites. The Inn is located near many area attractions such as The Flume, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Lost River, Clark's Trading Post and more…there is no end to the many choices summer brings for pleasurable outings.

As September ushers in cooler temperatures, the entire vast landscape comes alive with magnificent hues of red, gold, yellow and orange. The famed autumn foliage, peaking about mid-October, is a feast to the eyes, an inspiration to the soul.
